5. Visit Buda Castle

Buda Castle is a known location in Budapest. As the name would tell you, it is a castle. Not just any Castle. It was one of the Royal Palaces when Hungary was still a kingdom. There are libraries too, if you are interested in them. It is one of the most beautiful buildings in Hungary, so if you are interested in it, I would recommend it greatly. And even the sights look great when you look out of the castle.

4. Heroes Square

The Heroes Square is probably one of the most well known, and iconic places, not just in Budapest, but in Hungary. It has statues of the most well known Hungarian historical figures, like Stephen I, the first king of Hungary, or Matthias Corvinus, the most well known king of Hungary. It can get crowded in sometimes, but otherwise it’s a great place to visit.

3.Visit the St. Stephen’s Basilica

St. Stephen’s basilica is the largest church in Budapest, and probably one of the largest churches in Hungary. It’s named after, as you guessed it, Saint Stephen, the first king of Hungary, as I already mentioned in the previous point. It’s an awesome tourist destination. The saint’s mummified right hand is held in this basilica too.

2. The New York palace

The name can be a little confusing. It’s not necesserally a palace. It’s more like a café. You can drink coffee’s here. And while doing so, you can admire the looks of the place. A photo can’t describe the looks of this place, you have to be there to experience it. I recommend it to everyone who visits Budapest.

1. Buy Souvenirs.

I think this is the most important thing on this list. What’s the point of visiting a place if you don’t have something to remember the experience? Buy Souvenirs. Take photos where you can. And most importantly, enjoy the experience.
